The Eagleton Elementary Spelling Bee will be held during the first or second week in December (Dates coming soon!). Your child’s teacher will hold a written spelling bee sometime before that to choose a classroom winner to represent their class in our school spelling bee.
I know the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is extremely popular here at EES. (The library has multiple copies. . . but I never see them because they’re always checked out!) Here’s an article about the newest books in The New York Times newspaper. The article may be more for parents than students, though–it discusses Greg’s ethical choices: laziness, lying, etc. You also might be interested in author Jeff Kinney’s website, linked under Authors & Illustrators on the right–>
